Slumber drips
A waking giant
Sways over me
A bit defiant
Night fall rises
The moon-lit stars
And dreams tarry
As far as Mars
Much to do
In this foreign land
Even starting over
From last night’s stand
Meaningless they are
On the breath of morning
The dull fog fades
As life goes soaring
It’s just the same
Heaven and Earth
We’re the wisp of fog,
Between death and birth.
So come now lie
Let dreams arise
Death and his friends
A dream defies
So make it good,
You’re only dreaming,
It’s your waking moment
Which rises greatest meaning.
